Assistant Director

Spartanburg County First Steps is seeking an Assistant Director for The Franklin School.

Function: The Assistant Director assists in maintaining the child development center operations, such as facility management, educational components, and in operating the center in accordance with the state licensing standards, regulations, and The Franklin School policies and procedures. The Assistant Director will assist the Director in maintaining enrollment, and interacting with staff, families, and children. Should have an understanding of the developmental levels of children ages 6 weeks to 4 years.

Minimum Qualifications: Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, is required, Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. Must have ability to communicate and provide support to a diverse group of families.  References required. Competitive salary and state benefits.  To apply go to
